Scottsdale Sister Cities
The concept of Sister Cities can be likened to a scaled up version of a "pen pal" scheme, in which the "pals" are whole towns or cities. In practice, the twinning arrangements often lead to student exchange programs, as well as economic and cultural collaborations.

Shelter Our Strays
Shelter our Strays is a Public-Private initiative in Greenwich, CT to construct a new dog shelter for stray animals.
Emily built awareness and support through local media events for the new animal shelter. May (07) events raised $120,000. She wrote and distributed press releases, liaised with the Bruce Museum (Shelter our Strays 503(c) sponsor), and assisted in spearheading fund-raising, and photography.

Christel House International
Emily researched a detailed market analysis of eastern Europe including field work in Romania for Christel House to determine locations for educational centers.
Christel House International is a foundation which establishes educational and healthcare centers for orphaned, impoverished children around the world with established schools in South Africa, India, and Mexico.
The organization focuses on both academic and life skills and had its first graduating class in Mexico in 2006.

The
Anthony Nolan Trust is the largest bone marrow organization in the
United Kingdom and the third largest in the world. Each year it raises
million of dollars through numerous small and large charity events.
Many corporations have chosen the Anthony Nolan Trust as a charity of
choice in the UK.
Emily's involvement from 2001 to 2006 revolved around co-organizing the annual 1000 attendee black tie ball and publishing a 50+ page magazine to support the event.
